Chicken scratch.

Today my calendar looks like this:

But very soon it will look like this:

My grandmother used to use the phrase "chicken scratch" a lot.
That is what I think of when I look at my calendar.
My goal this year is to fill it with intentional things.
Play dates, Bible studies, coffee with friends,
volunteering, meeting new people, taking walks, cooking,
going to the zoo, playing at the park,
time for myself, dates with my husband, time with family.
Not just a bunch of "chicken scratch".

  1. Mine already looks like that. I updated it Monday. Busy is good!

ps - loved your previous post about 21 months. I have gone through the same thing, although mine aren't as timed perfectly as yours.

  2. My calendar will be filled up by tonight. I just have not taken the time to sit down and write it all out. I'm amazed that I have not forgotten anything important yet... maybe I have! I would have missed BBM last week if I had not gotten a reminder email. It is time to get organized and ready for the year.

  3. i love your writing, jillian! hopefully you can pencil me in on your calendar this year. :)

  4. I love the intentions! That is on my list too. I also want to pencil in some good, quality time with my kids. I'm with them so much that sometimes I forget to plan extra special stuff. We have got to get to the zoo this spring!
